✍️How I got into UX writing

I've held many different titles throughout my working life. I've worked in retail, as an English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher, a digital marketer, and a content editor.

I first heard about UX writing in Autumn 2020. UX design was already on my radar but UX writing? Never heard of it.

So I did some research and discovered it was a wonderful blend of what I enjoyed in my previous roles: a people-centred focus, utilising language and communication, solving problems to help others.

Adapting concepts and text into easily digestible content was already my thing—the prospect of adding psychology and product design was too good to miss out on. In 2021 I joined The UX Writing Academy by the UX Writing Hub. After months of exploring and experiencing UX writing, and spending six months as a UX writer at Numan, I'm more excited than ever to experience new UX challenges.
